Nate (Ranger Form)

Buster Gold

Nate Woods (formerly Nate McLeod) is a eighteen year old boy living in Starview Heights. He is the adopted son of Martin Woods and his wife Alicia, as well as Buster Gold of the Power Rangers: Spy-Busters.

Ten years ago, Nate lived with his mom, dad, and older sister in Daytona, Florida. One day, his family went to the beach with his best friend Shawn and his family. Little did the two boys know, this day would change their lives forever.

While there, the two families were taken as hostages by the Vaglass, who had begun expanding beyond Starview Heights and were looking to capture more territory on the day of Psycho's initial rampage. Both boys' families were killed and they were shot with energy blasts. By some miracle, Nate survived, developing the ability of Telekinesis in the process.

However, due to the GPU lacking knowledge of the attack, Nate and Shawn were both ignored and neither received Ranger training. Both were placed in a Catholic Orphanage, where Nate vowed to get revenge on Psycho for the deaths of he and Shawn's loved ones. While there, Nate used his hacking skills to learn of the GPU's continued existence, as well as the existence of the Ranger Project.

Hacking into the government mainframe, he had himself and Shawn transferred to another Orphanage in Starview Heights, where they then befriended Graham, Colin, and Colleen at their new school of SHHS. Breaking into the GPU's underground base, they stole the prototype Morphin' Blasters, using them to become Buster Gold and Buster Silver.

After some convincing, Nate and Shawn were allowed to join the team. Nate now fights as the Gold Ranger, seeking revenge and aiming to protect the innocent civilian of Starview Heights from suffering the same fate as his family.

As of the episode "Stakeout", Nate and Shawn have been adopted by Lieutenant Woods and Lieutenant Rose, with whom they formed a sort of parent-child bond over the course of a stakeout.

Disillusioned after the death of his family, Nate grew up to become a very depressed and negative individual, with the only things bringing him joy being his best friend Shawn and the thought of eventually enacting revenge on Psycho. At the age of ten, he took an interest in computers and, after learning how to hack, he learned of the GPU still operating in secret and also of their Ranger Project. With this knowledge, he has trained himself and Shawn to perfection over the course of the past seven years, with the eventual goal of becoming a Power Ranger and taking Psycho down.

He's a little standoffish, and even a little cold at times, but he means well, and he's got a heart of gold underneath his nihilistic exterior. He's also very intelligent, perhaps the smartest member of the entire team.

Morphin' Blaster

Morphin' Blaster (Top: Phone Mode/Middle: Morpher Mode/Bottom: Blaster Mode)

Morphin' Blaster-Nate's morpher. It allows him to transform into Buster Gold, and also doubles as his primary gun weapon.

Drive Sword

Drive Blade (Top: Blade Mode/Bottom: Drive Mode)

Drive Sword-Nate's primary sword weapon. It is a sword that doubles as a steering wheel for Nate's Zord, due to his lack of a Buddy-Roid.

Beetle Booster-A black, scarab beetled themed device that resembles a scope; it attaches to the top of Nate's Morphin' Blaster and allows him to access Boost Mode.

Telekinesis-As a Metahuman, Nate possesses the unique ability of Telekinesis. Using the Enertron coursing through his veins, Nate can move small or medium objects with his mind. However, like the others, he has a Weakpoint-if he uses it for too long, he'll get a massive headache, which is so painful that it'll knock him unconscious. He won't wake up for some time after this.

Levitation-While in Boost Mode, Nate's telekinesis is amplified to the point where he can lift himself into the air using his mind. He can also channel this ability through the Megazord in order to lift it and heavier objects.

-He is the first Ranger to be a hacker.

-He is rumored to have a crush on his classmate Iris Mayflower, something which he constantly denies ad-nauseam whenever someone brings it up due to her slightly odd behavior and his reputation as a lone wolf. Despite his, he secretly really likes her, and wants more than anything to go out with her.

-He and Shawn are the second Rangers to be adopted, after Nick from Mystic Force. (Though they are the first to be adopted after the start of their season; Nick was adopted long before the events of Mystic Force while they began Spy-Busters as orphans.)
